The latest episode of WandaVision has made a shift to its end credits, particularly when it comes to crediting the creators behind the title characters.
The end credits for “On a Very Special Episode…” credit Stan Lee and Jack Kirby with creating Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Roy Thomas and John Buscema with creating the Vision. All four were previously listed in the “Special Thanks” section, which often credits the comic creators whose work helps shape Marvel Studios’ films and upcoming television series.
Scarlet Witch first appeared in X-Men #4 by Lee and Kirby, as a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. The Vision first appeared in The Avengers #57 by Thomas and Buscema, first as an enemy of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and then a longtime member. Other creators listed in the “Special Thanks” section include Brian Michael Bendis, who wrote the Scarlet Witch-centric storylines Avengers Disassembled and House of M, and Gabriel Hernandez Walta who illustrated Tom King’s Vision maxiseries.
