The CW shared new details about the upcoming seventh episode of Legacies, revealing that the Super Squad will come face to face with a Leprechaun.
The CW recently revealed new upcoming monster details for Legacies.
Legacies Season 3, Episode 7 will see the Super Squad coming face to face with its first Celtic trickster in the series — a Leprechaun. The mythological luck figure might be just what The Salvatore School needs as they face their first confrontation with financial difficulties.
The synopsis for its latest season’s seventh episode, “Yup, It’s a Leprechaun, All Right,” reads,
IT’S YOUR LUCKY DAY — After the Salvatore School runs into some financial difficulties, Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) suggests they hold their first fundraiser. While Alaric (Matthew Davis) attempts to work things out with the bank, he puts Kaleb (Chris Lee) in charge of overseeing the events at the school. Elsewhere, Cleo (guest star Omono Okojie) helps Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) cope with her emotions, while MG (Quincy Fouse) seeks help from Alyssa (guest star Olivia Liang). Finally, when a leprechaun shows up at the school, it might just be what they need to turn their luck around. Kaylee Bryant and Ben Levin also star. Tony Griffin directed the episode written by Penny Cox & Cynthia Adarkwa (#307). Original airdate 3/18/2021.
While it’s unclear what series of events will lead to the arrival of the Leprechaun, the network previously dropped a short teaser for Season 3, Episode 6, which airs on March 11. In the 30-second clip, Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) appears to be struggling with the death of her boyfriend Landon Kirby and is on the verge of a full-blown mental breakdown.
“I see anger, fear,” Hope says in the clip, over footage of her walking the halls of The Salvatore School. “Every room I go into reminds me of him,” Hope adds. “I know I’m supposed to move forward, but I don’t know how.” The clip, paired with the new details about Episode 7, seems to suggest Hope is still struggling to move on by the time the Leprechaun arrives.
While Legacies has continued to feature a number of Malivore’s monsters in Season 3, executive producer Brett Matthews confirmed ahead of the new season that there would be some changes to the “Monster of the Week” format that was used in the first two seasons.
“It will change 10 percent,” Matthews said at the time. “That is still the mythology that this season is built upon, the Malivore mythology and monsters are obviously integral to that.” He added that Season 3 will feature will show “the sort of greatest hits we all know monster-wise, dragons and gargoyles… And then our specific, lesser-known monsters.”
Legacies stars Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Kaylee Bryant, Quincy Fouse, Aria Shahghasemi, Peyton Alex Smith, Matt Davis, Chris Lee, Ben Levin and Leo Howard. New episodes air Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
