Apple TV+’s See starring Jason Momoa announces Season 2’s premiere date with a new teaser trailer and confirms its Season 3 renewal.
Apple TV+’s See starring Jason Momoa has confirmed its Season 2 premiere date. Furthermore, the post-apocalyptic drama series has officially been renewed for Season 3.
As revealed in a new teaser trailer, See Season 2 is slated to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, Aug. 27. Season 2 features returning stars Momoa (Aquaman) and Alfre Woodard (Marvel’s Luke Cage) as Baba Voss and Paris, respectively, as well as newcomer Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, Dune) as Edo Voss. The announcements regarding See‘s Season 2 premiere date and Season 3 renewal coincided with Momoa’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
See takes place centuries after a virus wiped out all but 2 million humans, with the survivors having lost their sense of sight. The series premiered on Apple TV+ on Nov. 1, 2019, with its eight-episode first season concluding one month later on Dec. 6. Shortly following Season 1’s premiere, See was renewed for Season 2. The second season originally began filming in February of 2020. However, production was shut down the following month due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Filming finally resumed in October of 2020 and concluded in March of this year.
